Children

Kids programs (available for ages 7-12) include activities such as the mini-chef lesson, and storytelling of local Andean tales where kids and their families learn the urban legends and local myths that have been passed down from generation to generation in this time-honored tradition.

Packing tips

The trains to Aquas Calientes, where Sumaq is located, have extremely strict luggage policies. You’ll want to bring small carry-on bags that fit everything you will need for your one-night visit to Machu Picchu. The rest of your luggage will be transported to your Cusco hotel.

Spa

Experience mystical indulgence at Aqlla Spa, located within the five-star ambience of Sumaq Machu Picchu Hotel.

Food And Drink

Thanks to the influence of flavors and ingredients from Spain, Africa, China, Japan and Italy, as well as native Peruvian products, Peruvian cuisine offers a succulent fusion of aromas and tastes that are based on foods used for millennia. The cuisine at Sumaq Machu Picchu Hotel draws upon these influences before enhancing traditional Peruvian cuisine. It takes Andean roots and the Incas' culinary legacy and fuses them with contemporary culinary techniques in an exclusive menu with unforgettable five-star style.

Celestielle Seen & Loved It Tip:

Be sure to make your spa appointments early, as this is a very popular afternoon activity for those departing on an early evening train from Aguas Calientes to Cusco following the tour to Machu Picchu.
